We had such a great time at the High Museum!! Our students know so much about the Art world outside of school and most importantly, they are a part of it! Please enjoy our pictures from the High.
I hope you are excited to get back to school and back to the art room!! There will be lots of excitement in ART this semester as we prepare for our trip to the High Museum. Grade levels will be going on the following dates:

We have had SO many folks participating in our Random Acts of Artness! Most of the pictures are on Twitter or our facebook feed so be sure to check them out. The power of art to make others feel happiness is HUGE!! This Random Act of Art was made by 3rd Grade teacher, Kelly Vonfeldt. She created a book about herself to share with her students and it is both beautiful and meaningful, like all good art!
Our art club is spreading artistic joy! We started by adding some art to the staff mailboxes here at Sedalia Park. We invited everyone to create something and surprise someone else. We are hoping that our Random Acts of Artness will spread and continue. If you do a Random Act of Artness, please post a picture of your creation in the comments below. Feel free to share your Art here, share it on our facebook Page, or Tweet it @SedaliaArt. Thanks for participating and spreading Art.
The students for this year’s art club have been selected!! We had a BUNCH of 4th and 5th graders apply. They all wrote GREAT essays about why they should be in ART CLUB! If you did not get selected it was not because you are not a great artist! We simply had many more kids applying than we have spots for. Kids who were not picked this time will be put on a waiting list and will be contacted if someone drops out or is no longer able to attend art club.
Congratulations to the following 2015-2016 art club members:
