Our 5th graders have been working on the elements of art for several weeks, doing a project that focuses on each element. For our study of form we created clay bowls and our finish included glaze with GLASS! We learned that glass can melt and the results are beautiful! If you have any marbles or glass pieces (the type you might fill a vase with) that you don’t need please donate them to the art room!

Random Acts of Artness
We have had SO many folks participating in our Random Acts of Artness! Most of the pictures are on Twitter or our facebook feed so be sure to check them out. The power of art to make others feel happiness is HUGE!! This Random Act of Art was made by 3rd Grade teacher, Kelly Vonfeldt. She created a book about herself to share with her students and it is both beautiful and meaningful, like all good art!
Random Acts of Artness
Our art club is spreading artistic joy! We started by adding some art to the staff mailboxes here at Sedalia Park. We invited everyone to create something and surprise someone else. We are hoping that our Random Acts of Artness will spread and continue. If you do a Random Act of Artness, please post a picture of your creation in the comments below. Feel free to share your Art here, share it on our facebook Page, or Tweet it @SedaliaArt. Thanks for participating and spreading Art.
